Fred Wakula escaped his home country of Congo during wartime in the 1990's. After spending 20 years in Kenya, Fred decided to returned home to Congo to help his country rebuild and recover.
Sometime after his return, Fred travelled to Uganda to attend a conference. The keynote speaker was the Founder and Director of Enlarj, Phil Spence. Since that time, Phil has mentored Fred.

Fred mentors these leaders and helps them develop strategies for their towns and villages. He also engages in emergency relief in the aftermath of natural disasters.
